ASTM F136 Ti-6Al-4V ELI Titanium Wire

ASTM F136 Ti-6Al-4V ELI titanium wire is an extra-low interstitial grade of the classic Ti-6Al-4V alloy. ELI stands for Extra Low Interstitials, meaning tighter control of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and iron. It meets the ASTM F136 specification, which is the international standard for surgical implant applications. Unlike standard Grade 5 (AMS 4928), Ti-6Al-4V ELI offers improved fracture toughness and ductility at super-low temperatures while maintaining high strength. This unique composition provides: Extra-low interstitials–O ≤ 0.13%, N ≤ 0.05%, C ≤ 0.08%, Fe ≤ 0.25% High strength–Comparable to standard Grade 5 Superior toughness–Better fracture toughness and fatigue performance With strictly controlled impurities and a fine alpha-beta microstructure, ASTM F136 Ti-6Al-4V ELI wire is widely used in medical implants, surgical instruments, and cryogenic aerospace components where biocompatibility and low-temperature performance are critical. ASTM F136 Ti-6Al-4V ELI–Extra-Low Interstitials. Built for Medical and Cryogenic Aerospace Applications.

ASTM F67 Grade 1 Pure Titanium Wire

ASTM F67 Grade 1 pure titanium wire is a high-purity titanium wire. It meets the ASTM F67 specification, which is the international standard for unalloyed titanium used in surgical implant applications. Grade 1 is the softest and most ductile of all titanium grades. Grade 1 maintains a single-phase alpha structure at room temperature, which provides the following features as below::
  1. Highest purity– Titanium content ≥99.5% with extremely low impurities
  2. Excellent ductility– Can be bent, coiled, and formed with ease
  3. Superior biocompatibility– Non-toxic, non-sensitizing, and corrosion-resistant in body fluids.

ASTM F67 Grade 2 Pure Titanium Wire

ASTM F67 Grade 2 is a commercially pure titanium (CP Ti) specification specifically defined for medical implant applications. It is the most widely used grade of pure titanium in the human body contact industry due to its excellent biocompatibility, high corrosion resistance, and moderate strength. It meets the ASTM F67, ASTM B863, and ISO 5832-2 standards and is classified as unalloyed titanium with controlled interstitial elements (oxygen, iron, nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen). ASTM F67 Grade 2 titanium wire is extensively used in medical devices, surgical implants, orthopedic fixation products, dental components, aerospace fasteners, and chemical processing equipment — where biocompatibility and corrosion resistance are the primary requirements. ASTM F67 Grade 2 Pure Titanium Wire Biocompatible, Corrosion-Resistant, Implant-Ready.

ASTM F67 Grade 4 Pure Titanium Wire

ASTM F67 Grade 4 pure titanium wire is the strongest among the commercially pure titanium grades. It meets the ASTM F67 specification, which is the international standard for unalloyed titanium used in surgical implant applications. Unlike the softer Grade 1 or Grade 2, Grade 4 offers higher strength while still keeping good ductility and formability. It maintains a single-phase alpha structure at room temperature. This will give you: Highest strength among pure titanium grades–Up to 740 MPa tensile strength Good ductility–Can still be bent and formed, though not as easily as Grade 1 Superior biocompatibility – Non-toxic, non-sensitizing, and corrosion-resistant in body fluids.
