AMS 4902 Grade 4 Titanium Wire
AMS 4902 Grade 4 Titanium Wire Description
What is AMS 4902 Grade 4 Titanium Wire?
AMS 4902 Grade 4 Titanium Wire is an aerospace-grade commercially pure titanium wire. Aerospace Grade 4 Titanium Wire (UNS R50700) manufactured in accordance with AMS 4902 standard, It meets AMS 4902 specification and is classified as an alpha-phase titanium alloy.
It offers higher strength than Grade 1 and Grade 2 while retaining good ductility and weldability. This provides many advantages, such as high strength, good ductility and superior corrosion resistance.
Higher strength than Gr1 and Gr2–ideal for moderate load-bearing applications; good ductility–oan be formed and bent without cracking and superior corrosion resistance–outstanding performance in seawater, salt spray, and chemical environments.
With strictly controlled impurities (H ≤ 0.015%, O ≤ 0.4%), Grade 4 wire are used in aircraft structural components, chemical processing systems, marine aviation parts, and general aerospace hardware where higher strength than Grade 2 is required.
