Nickel 200 Foil

Nickel 200 Foil Description

1. Introduction

Nickel 200 Foil (Ni200/UNS N02200) is an ultra-thin nickel strip produced through multi-pass precision rolling from high-purity industrial nickel (Ni ≥ 99.6%–99.9%). As a commercially pure nickel material, it combines excellent electrical conductivity with strong corrosion resistance and stable processing performance.

Compared with titanium foils and other metal foils, Nickel 200 Foil delivers significantly higher electrical conductivity and better chemical stability. It performs especially well in alkaline and mildly reducing environments, making it more suitable for electrical and electrochemical applications where stable current transfer is required.

In engineering applications, different metal foils serve distinct roles based on their performance:

  • Gr1/Gr2 Titanium Foil offers low density and strong corrosion resistance, but relatively low electrical conductivity.
  • Gr4 Titanium Foil provides higher strength, making it suitable for structural components.
  • Gr5 Titanium Foil delivers high strength and excellent load-bearing capacity for high-stress applications.
  • Nickel 200 Foil delivers high electrical conductivity and excellent chemical stability, making it suitable for electrical connections, electrodes, and chemical corrosion protection applications.

2. Standard specification:

  • Thickness 0.03-1.0 mm, width 15-680 mm, suitable for industrial applications that require electrical conductivity, mechanical strength, and long-term stability.
  • Custom thickness: 0.005 mm, suitable for batteries, microelectronics applications, chemical corrosion protection, and precision instruments.

3. Production Process & Equipments

Our company focuses on making high-end titanium, nickel, zirconium and alloy With advanced 20-high precision rolling mills, we can roll ultra-thin, wide strips with very high precision.

Major equipments: 750 mm 20-high precision rolling mill

  • Thickness tolerance: ±0.002 mm
  • Multi-pass rolling delivers consistent, uniform strip shape

We have achieved mass production of ultra-thin wide-width foil and can provide stable bulk supply.

4. Surface Treatment & Quality Control

  • Cleaned via ultrasonic and alkaline solution, with a stable surface dyne level of 40 for excellent formability.
  • Continuous annealing with a temperature tolerance of ±2℃. Solution heat treatment improves plasticity and strength, resulting in uniform surface color.
  • Production line automation rate reaches 90%. Full-process inspection ensures superior dimension, perfect surface quality and mechanical properties.
