ASTM F67 Grade 4 Pure Titanium Wire

ASTM F67 Grade 4 Pure Titanium Wire Description

What is ASTM F67 Grade 4 Pure Titanium Wire?

ASTM F67 Grade 4 pure titanium wire is the strongest among the commercially pure titanium grades. It meets the ASTM F67 specification, which is the international standard for unalloyed titanium used in surgical implant applications.

Unlike the softer Grade 1 or Grade 2, Grade 4 offers higher strength while still keeping good ductility and formability. It maintains a single-phase alpha structure at room temperature. This will give you:

Highest strength among pure titanium grades–Up to 740 MPa tensile strength.

Good ductility–Can still be bent and formed, though not as easily as Grade 1.

Superior biocompatibility–Non-toxic, non-sensitizing, and corrosion-resistant in body fluids.

With strictly controlled impurities (H ≤ 0.015%, O ≤ 0.40%), ASTM F67 Grade 4 wire is widely used in medical implants that need higher strength than Grade 2 can provide, as well as in aerospace fasteners and structural components where pure titanium is preferred over alloys.

ASTM F67 Grade 4 Pure Titanium Wire–The Strongest Pure Titanium. Built for High-Strength Medical and Aerospace Applications.

Drawn As-drawn from dies Natural metal, fine lines High-strength fasteners, lock wire

Note:  All surface finishes are free from oxide scale, cracks, and contaminants, ensuring compliance with ASTM F67 standards.

3. Production Process & Equipment

  • World-class line: Imported Danieli continuous rolling line for Ti/Ni/Zr alloy wires.
  • Ultra-high straightness: φ5 mm wire straightness deviation ≤ 2/1000.
  • Mass production ready: Stable supply with full-scale production capability.

4. Aviation-grade manufacturing process

  • Vacuum melting ensures high purity and stable composition.
  • Multi-pass cold drawing (bright drawing or pickling) results in a clean and bright surface.
  • Precision straightening guarantees a straightness of ≤ 2/1000 for aviation use.
  • Roller die cold drawing controls dimensional accuracy and grain structure.
  • Full-process inspection ensures dimensional accuracy, surface quality and mechanical properties.
