Introduction
ASTM F136 Gr5 ELI (Gr23) titanium foil is an implant-grade ultra-thin titanium alloy foil and strip based on Ti-6Al-4V ELI, specially developed for surgical implant and high-precision medical device applications. It complies with ASTM F136 and ISO 5832-3 requirements for wrought titanium-6 aluminum-4 vanadium ELI alloy used in surgical implantation.Compared with standard Gr5 titanium foil, Gr23 foil features stricter control of oxygen, iron and other interstitial elements, which provides better ductility, higher fracture toughness, more stable fatigue performance and stronger long-term biocompatibility. Compared with commercially pure titanium foil such as Gr1, Gr2 and Gr4, it offers significantly higher mechanical strength while maintaining excellent corrosion resistance and clean-surface processability.
ASTM F136 Gr23 titanium foil is suitable for precision medical stamping parts, implant auxiliary components, orthopedic and dental device parts, minimally invasive instrument structures and other demanding applications requiring reliable mechanical performance and stable in-vivo service safety.
