1. Introduction
Gr4 ASTM F67 Titanium Foil is a high-strength medical-grade titanium foil made from Grade 4 commercially pure titanium. It is produced by vacuum melting, precision rolling, and annealing, and meets ASTM F67 implant standards. It keeps good biocompatibility and corrosion resistance, while offering the highest strength among commercially pure titanium grades, making it suitable for medical uses that need higher strength and stability.
In the ASTM F67 medical titanium system, Gr1, Gr2, and Gr4 Titanium Foil have clear differences:
- Gr1 ASTM F67 Titanium Foil: most flexible, lowest strength, suitable for complex forming
- Gr2 ASTM F67 Titanium Foil: balanced strength and formability, most commonly used
- Gr4 ASTM F67 Titanium Foil: highest strength, best for load-bearing and stable structures
Because of these differences, Gr4 is often used for strong medical parts, structural supports, and precision components that require high reliability. It also performs well in body fluid environments for long-term use.
