Gr4 Titanium Foil Description
1) Introduction
Grade 4 titanium foil is an ultra-thin titanium strip manufactured by precision rolling from Grade 4 industrial pure titanium with a titanium purity of no less than 99%.
Among all pure titanium foils, Grade 4 offers the highest strength and stability, along with the lowest ductility, making it suitable for high-strength applications.
Among commercially purte titianium foils:
- Grade 1 Titanium Foil: High ductility, low strengh
- Grade 2 Titanium Foil: Moderate ductility and strength
- Grade 4 Titanium Foil: Lowset ductility and hignest strength

- Delivery form: coil/strip/cut-to-length plate(customizable)
Custom thickness available: 0.001 – 0.008 mm, suitable for general industrial applications as well as high-end precision fields such as microelectronics and optics.
3) Production Line Process & Equipment Capabilities
Titanium ingot → Hot rolling breakdown → Multi-pass 20-high precision cold rolling → Ultrasonic cleaning → Continuous vacuum annealing (stress relief / ductility restoration) → Temper rolling → Slitting → Surface matte finishing → Inspection & packaging
Key equipment: 750mm 20-high precision rolling mill, ultrasonic cleaning line, continuous vacuum argon annealing furnace, precision temper mill, slitting line, foil cutting machine, and matte finishing line.
4) Description of Key Equipment & Process Capabilities
- 20-High Precision Rolling Millwith a maximum rolling speed of 400 m/min
- Ultrasonic Cleaning Line: After cleaning, the surface dyne level can reach above 44, with a maximum line speed of 30 m/min. This ensures both production efficiency and surface cleanliness, making it suitable for applications requiring high surface quality.
- Precision Temper Mill: Maximum speed: 100 m/min. Effectively improves the flatness and residual stress of thin strips, enhancing stability in subsequent processing.
- Slitting Line: Suitable for precision slitting of strips with thickness range from 0.08 mm to 1.0 mm. Width tolerance can be controlled within ±0.02 mm to meet high-precision slitting requirements.
- Matte Finishing Line: Used for surface functional treatment to improve surface consistency and adhesion of the material, enhancing performance in subsequent coating, cladding and other industrial applications.
